About Anglossa

The term 'Anglo' traces back to the Anglo-Saxons, a fierce and influential cultural group that dominated early medieval England and southeastern Scotland. These warriors, settlers, and storytellers spoke Old English—the ancient roots of the language we use today. Their legacy lives on in names, traditions, and even modern English itself.

On the other side, we have 'glossa', a slick Greek word meaning 'tongue' or 'language.' It's the hidden force behind terms like 'glossary' (your go-to word bank), 'gloss' (a quick explanation), and even 'glossitis' (when your tongue rebels). Together, they form Anglossa — a fusion of history, language, and meaning.

For our students and for us, it's important that learning English is fun, dynamic, interactive, and not boring. That's why we've designed our courses to teach you everything you need to know, from basic grammar to verbs and the Cambridge First exam.
